Kahu K-9 Rescue is raising funds to build a secure privacy fence for our rescue dogs — and this project will truly change everything for us.
Right now, we are working to create a safe, structured environment where dogs can heal, decompress, play safely, and prepare for their forever homes. This fence will allow us to safely house more dogs, properly separate animals when needed, and continue rescuing strays and abandoned dogs in our community.
This isn’t just a fence.
It’s safety.
It’s stability.
It’s protection for dogs that have already been through so much.
The project includes:
330 feet of 6-foot privacy fencing
Secure walk and drive gates
Reinforced posts set in concrete
Clearing unsafe brush from the property
Our total goal is $8,595, with $4,100 needed upfront to begin construction.
If you believe in what we’re building here at Kahu K-9 Rescue, please consider donating, sharing, or praying for our mission. Every single dollar helps us create a safer future for these dogs.
We’ve been incredibly blessed this week, and we want to take a moment to recognize some truly amazing people who made a big impact for our rescue.
Thank you to Dan Venturini for adopting Bonita—now Nala! He’s given her such a loving home, and on top of that, he generously supported us by sending much-needed items from our wishlist. We’re so grateful for your continued support!
A huge thank you to Kathy Bork for organizing a garage sale and donating the proceeds to our rescue. Your kindness will go directly toward upcoming vet care, and it truly makes a difference.
We are beyond thankful for our village. The love and support we receive means everything to us—and to the dogs we’re able to help because of you.
Behind the scenes, we’ve been working nonstop to grow, build credibility, and open doors so we can save even more lives. This step allows us to access more resources, create stronger partnerships, and continue showing up for the dogs who need us most.
We’ve also made it easier than ever to support our mission:

• Cleaning supplies & bleach
• Canned dog food
• Dry dog food
Most importantly — we need FOSTERS and ADOPTERS. None of this works without people willing to open their homes and hearts. Every foster saves a life. Every adoption makes room for another dog in need.
This journey hasn’t been easy, but we truly believe we are walking the path the Lord has set before us. We trust He will continue to guide and bless this rescue as we grow.
To our village — thank you. Your support, encouragement, and belief in us means everything. We wouldn’t be here without you.
Let’s keep going.
Big news for us.
We are officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue.
This didn’t happen overnight. It took late nights, hard decisions, sacrifices, and a whole lot of faith. There were moments of doubt, moments of exhaustion but through it all, we kept going—for the dogs who needed us.
And the truth is, we didn’t get here alone.
To everyone who has supported us—whether you’ve adopted, fostered, donated, shared our posts, helped with a stray, or simply believed in what we’re doing—
this belongs to you too. You are our village, and we are so incredibly grateful.
Because of you, we can keep showing up. We can keep saving lives. And now, with this next step, we’re able to grow, reach more dogs, and make an even bigger impact in our community.
This is just the beginning… and I am so excited for what the future holds.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for being here, for trusting us, and for standing beside us.
Let’s keep saving lives, together.
We Need Your Help, Marion Oaks Community!
Kahu K-9 Rescue Inc is growing, and that means we’re saving more lives every day.
But with that growth comes a serious need for safety.
Right now, we are in urgent need of a secure fence to safely contain the dogs in our care and continue helping the increasing number of strays and abandoned animals in our community.
Without proper fencing, our ability to take in and protect more dogs is limited—and that’s the hardest part.
We are currently looking for recommendations for a local fencing company that can provide a free estimate (or anyone willing to help support this project).
Based in Marion Oaks, FL
We are officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue.
Registered with the Department of Agriculture to receive donations
We will also be launching a GoFundMe soon for those who would like to contribute and be a part of building something that will directly save lives.
If you know a fencing company, have a connection, or can help in any way, please send us a message.
It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours.
